Fresh Perspectives in GCSE Art

Today GCSE Art students were visited by two artists, Alex and Kelly. Alex and Kelly were invited in to school as part of Wolverhampton Arts Connect to offer a fresh perspective to creating art.

Arts Connect works with a variety of partners including education, arts and culture in the West Midlands to ensure that all children and young people can benefit from engagement in high quality arts and cultural activities.

They delivered 2 sessions, both using collage as a technique. Students produced artwork on the theme of animals and the urban environment, layering imagery and applying a range of surface textures with paint. As you can see, the results were excellent!
