In their RE lessons students have been learning about the religion of Islam. The ethos in our school is to always be ready and willing to help each other with our learning. In RE students in year 8 were visited by two students in Y11 who helped to explain what the religion of Islam meant for them. Massoud and Mas acted as wonderful ambassadors for their faith and explained to the students why and how they prayed and what fasting during the month of Ramadan was like and how it could be challenging. They also explained the meaning of some of the wonderful artefacts that we had on display. The students did a brilliant job and left us all with a much better understanding of the religion of Islam.
